Aston, PA- The Pennsylvania Athletic Conference released yesterday that it will change its name effective July 1, 2009. After a month-long re-branding effort that consisted of polling hundreds of students, parents, coaches and administrators for suggestions and ideas about a new title and colors to represent the twelve schools, the conference office, college presidents and athletic directors of each institution decided on the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC). "This is an exciting time for the conference," Commissioner Amy Frankenstein-Friedman stated. "The new name recognizes that we have member schools that are not in Pennsylvania. And, after years of being confused with other conferences that are similarly named, we will be able to create a brand new identity and really stand out from the crowd." Members of the conference are Neumann College, Cabrini College, Cedar Crest College, Immaculata University, Philadelphia Biblical University, Centenary College, Gwynedd Mercy College, College of Notre Dame of Maryland, Rosemont College, Marywood University, Keystone College and Baptist Bible.
