Aston PA - The Neumann College Knights brought home the 2005-06 President's Cup for women's sports in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference. Commissioner Amy Frankenstein presented Director of Athletics Chuck Sack with the trophy during the P.A.C. athletic directors retreat. This was the first time the Knights athletic department had won this prestigious award. The Knights won a P.A.C. Championship in softball while the field hockey, women's basketball, women's lacrosse and volleyball teams all advanced to the semi-finals of their respective conference tournaments. The PAC President's Cup is based on a percentage of the points a team could have earned throughout the academic year. It is awarded annually to the PAC member institutions that accumulate the most points based on results of conference playoffs and or regular season records. Each institution's point total is calculated by adding its top six men's finishes and top six women's finishes in the 13 conference sports. Director of Athletics Chuck Sack stated, "We are very proud of the accomplishments all of our student-athletes and coaches have achieved during this academic year 2005-06. The teamwork, intensity and dedication of our coaches and student-athletes has been outstanding and this is a great example of that collective effort.
