In a show of school spirit and in an effort to extend its best hospitality, Neumann College's student athletes will offer a helping hand to first-year students who will be moving into the Living and Learning Centers on Friday, August 25, 2006. Over 400 freshmen students will have the assistance the 2006-2007 Neumann Knights as they embark on their colligate journey.

Neumann College athletes have assisted in freshmen move-in for the past three years and generally have about 100 students-athletes participate. This year's move-in assistance will start at 11:00 a.m.

Each of the Knights' teams has athletes present to assist the incoming freshmen and their parents unload their belongings. It also gives the Knights a chance to gain support for their teams and the College's athletic program.

Teams will rotate throughout the day to in order to help alleviate some of the stress and congestion which is often seen from both parents and students during the separation process. The athletes' assistance in the move-in process allows all involved to see less congestion and a more relaxed atmosphere. It also gives the  students a chance to meet someone new before they step into the classroom on the field.
