Aston, PA-The Neumann Knights women's tennis, field hockey, and volleyball teams will be heading to the 2005 Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Championship Tournament in their respective sports starting on Friday, October 28, 2005.
Women's tennis will send 5 of its 12 rostered team to the West End Racquet Club in Allentown, PA to compete in the 2005 PAC Tournament Championship, hosted by Neumann College. Knights Sarah Tomlinson (1st Singles),Ashley Miller (2nd Singles) Shamira Cannon (3rd Singles),Melinda Howell (4th Singles), Rachel Mayer (6th Singles),and Laura Bodish who will compete with Miller at 3rd doubles will take to the courts starting at 9:00 a.m. Friday.
The Neumann Knights field hockey team will travel to Dover, Delaware on Saturday to compete in the first round of the 2005 PAC Championship Tournament hosted by 2nd seed,
Wesley College. The ball will be put in play a 2:00 p.m. The Knights lost to the defending PAC Champion 3-2 in overtime earlier this season.
The Knights volleyball team clinched their spot in the PAC Championship T ournament after defeating Immaculata University 3-0 on Thursday night. Seeding for the tournament will be determined after the completion of all conference play which is scheduled to finish on October 29. Seeding and final standings for Volleyball will be updated Saturday evening.
