Knights Honor Seven on Senior Day

Aston, PA - On the weekend of Friday, April 20 the Neumann College Knights (2-20, 2-15) played a three game series against Pennsylvania Athletic Conference rival Arcadia University (19-6, 13-4). 

 

In game one Arcadia hosted the Knights.  The Knights scored their only run off the bat of senior Phil Backert for his first collegiate home run in a 10 - 1 loss.

 

On Saturday, April 21 the Neumann College hosted Arcadia University in a double header match up.  Marc Torriero, Brian Chesnick, Phil Backert, Phil Kelly, Kevin Ahern, Tim DeFilippis, and Christopher Dascher were congratulated for their dedication to the Knights program prior to the start of today's contest.  Tim DeFilippis started on the hill in game one and kept the Knights in the game for five innings leaving the game with the score 8 - 3 Arcadia.  Freshman Joe Slater went 2-3 with 2 RBI in a 19 - 5 Neumann loss.

 

Sophomore Mike Parry started game two going only one inning due to arm problems.  The Knights continued to struggle not putting anything together offensively losing 19 - 3.

 

Next Up: The Knights will be playing at DeSales University Sunday, April 22 in a non conference double header.
