Grantham, Pa. - Swiggett had 16 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists to lead Neumann College to a 113-61 victory over the Penn College Wildcats on Saturday in the consolation game of the Messiah College Tournament.

 

Swiggett, who made 7-of-10 from the floor and 2-of-3 from the line, was one of six players to score in double figures for Knights, who will return home on Dec. 19 with a home game against Division-II opponent Shippensburg University at 7 p.m.

 

Mike Hitchens had 16 points for the Knights, Darrell Floyd scored 15, Jalon Bransford had 14, Eli Hitchens contributed 13 and Derahn Patrick added 10 points.

 

Mike Hitchens scored 9 and Floyd and Bransford each scored 8 points as Neumann built a 61-24 halftime lead. For the game Neumann shot Neumann shot 53.4 percent from the field while holding the Wildcats to just 32 percent and out rebounding them 61-37.

 

Neumann moves to 6-3 overall while the Wildcats drop to 1-6.
