Fields and Patrick Earn Honorable Mention All-PAC Honors.

March 1, 2007

Neumann College's Ronnie Fields and Derahn Patrick have been named to the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference All-PAC team, the conference office announced today. Fields and Patrick were selected to the honorable mention team following the conclusion of the 2006-2007 season. This is the first all-conference honor for both Patrick and Fields who have concluded their junior and senior seasons with the Knights respectively.

Fields appeared in every game this season for the Knights and started in 22 of the Knights' 26-game schedule. He led the Knights in rebounds (102), steals (54) and was lights out from three point range all year. Ronnie also played great hard nose intensity defense on the other side of the ball. He leaves Neumann as a great team leader and two-year captain of the men's basketball team.  When the Knights needed a big basket they would look to one of their clutch shooters such as Fields to get the job done.

Patrick appeared in 26 games for the Knights and started 17. Derahn led the Knights with 413 points this year averaging 15.9 points per game. He surpassed the 1,000 point marker on February 11, 2007 in the Knights' 68-62 loss at College Misericordia. Derahn was a clutch shooter and Neumann's go to guy.  His great hustle led the Knights into the playoffs and to one of the most successful seasons in recent program history.

The Knights ended the 2006-07 season 13-13 and 10-8 in the PAC. They earned the No. 5 seed in the conference tournament but fell short of the title with a 77-67 loss to Eastern College in the quarterfinal.
