Freshman Shane Howey Shoots 75, Finishing 2nd Individually at the Knights First Tournament of the Spring Season

SPRINGFIELD, Pa. - Freshman Shane Howey shot a 75 to finish 2^nd individually and lead the Knights to a 2^nd place team finish in their first spring tournament at Rolling Green Country Club on Monday afternoon.

The Knights finished at 322 as a team, nine strokes behind tournament host Swathmore College who won their home tournament, shooting a team score of 313. Howey's round was followed up by a 77 from sophomore Greg Warrington, an 84 by fellow freshman Mike Marenic, and team captain Matt LaPenta rounded out the Knights team total with an 86. Freshman Brian McCollough playing in his first collegiate tournament also shot well for the Knights shooting an 86 in the afternoon match up.

The Knights return to the links next Monday, March 27^th, 2006 hosting their first home tournament at Concord Country Club.
