Today's medalist honor was a first for Coffey
 
Coffey Medals For Neumann; Knights Record 4th 1-Place Finish of the Season

Neumann's 1st place finish at the Spring Haven County Club in Wallingford, Pennsylvania marks the Knights fourth tournament victory of the spring season.  

 

Neumann posted a team score of 325 at the Springhaven County Club on Wednesday afternoon. The Knights were led by Joseph Coffey, who played as an individual, and medaled at the tournament with a career low 74.

 

As a team freshman Shane Howey continued his steady play posting a 79 for the Knights and a second place finish overall. Fellow freshman Brian McCulla posted a collegiate career low of 81. Sophomore Greg Warrington paced the Knights with a round of 82 and freshmen Mike Marenic shot 83 to round out the Knights 325 score. Newcomer Erik Stoyanvich posted an 84 finishing 9th overall in his first collegiate outing as the Knights took first place over tournament host Widener University (349) and Swarthmore College (351).

 

The Knights return to the greens on Friday, April 7 when they will be hosted by Gwynedd-Mercy College at Pine Crest Golf Course.
