Golf Places Second at PAC Championship; Sill Named Coach of the Year

Chester Valley, Pa. - The Neumann College men's golf team finished second at the 2007 PAC Men's Golf Championship, held April 28-29 at the Center Valley Club at Stabler Center in Center Valley, Pennsylvania. The Knights finished with a score of 321-319-640 (+64). Wesley won the event with a score of 319-315-634 (+58).

 

Junior Mark Van Vliet led all-PAC competitors finishing first with a score of 79-77-156 (+12). Close behind was sophomore Erik Stoyanvich, who finished in 3rd place with a score of 77-82-159 (+15).

 

Greg Warrington finished 12th with of score of 88-78-166 (+22) and Mike Marenic finished 13th with a score of 84-82-166 (+22).

 

Rounding out the top five for Neumann College was junior Joe Coffey, who finished tied for 14th with a score of 81-86-167 (+23).

 

Following the final day of competition Head Coach Frank Sill was selected by his fellow PAC head coaches as the 2007 PAC Coach of the year. Sill is in his seventh year with the program. This is his second coach of the year honor.
