Aston, Pa. - Neumann College placed 8th among the top teams in the region including Temple, University of Delaware and Drexel, at its first golf match of the year. Captain Matt LaPenta led the way with a two-day score of 168 (83, 85) to place 25th overall, while junior Greg Warrington Neumann 89 84 173 +29 finished right behind him with 173 strokes (89, 84) to tie for 30th in the field of 43 golfers.

Joe Coffey shot a 178 for 34th place, Brian McCulla shot a 180 and Michael Marenic rounded out the scoring with a 195.

Neumann returns to action on Monday at Lehigh Country Club hosted by Muhlenberg College.
