Banquet Information

July 25, 2005

Aston, PA - Neumann College head golf Frank Sill announced the program's 2005 team awards at its annual postseason banquet held Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at the Brandywine Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware. The ceremony celebrated a successful season in which the Knights made an impressive run with five 1st-place finishes and the lowest score in team history.

Highlighting the afternoon's honors were the team MVP Awards, which were awarded to the foursome of Matt LaPenta, Joe Coffey, Matt Spaulding, and Greg Warrington. Their combined score of 304 at the Brandywine Country Club on April 6th, set a new College low-score record. The Knights played host to Widener University, Wilmington College, and Arcadia University, placing first in the quad match.

Sole senior Justin Riccardi was presented with the teams St. Francis and Clare Award which is given annually an athlete who portrays an obvious and apparent respect for the Mission of Neumann College on a daily basis both on and off the fields of competition. Ricciardi was also named to the 2005 All-PAC Sportsmanship team earlier in the season.

With the 2005 campaign in the books, the Knights will now look towards the 2006 season. Coach William's will be entering his 6th season at the helm of the program and will return with a wealth of talented players along with several new faces.
