As a freshman in 2004-2005:
Mike as captain, dressed for 23 games recording 7 goals and 13 assists...scored his first NCAA goal on his first shot in his first game vs. SUNY Geneseo(10/15/04)...had a 4 point game against SUNY Buffalo(1/14/05)...appointed to 2nd ECAC West All Conference Team and ECAC West All-Rookie Team...Mike also received team MVP.

As a sophomore in 2005-2006:
As captain for the second straight season, Mike appeared in all of the Knight's 25 games recording 3 goals and 14 assists...had a six game point streak (11/01/05-12/09/05).
