Aston, Pa- The Neumann Men's Ice Hockey fell to Hobart College 3-2 in a play in playoff game Wednesday, February 27, 2008. The Knights end their season with an overall record of 17-9 and 8-7 in the ECAC West Conference. During the season, the first under Head Coach Phil Roy, the Knights were continuously ranked in the top fifteen in the nation. They also defeated Manhattanville College for the first and second time in school history. The Knights won the Rutland Herald Championship and St. Michael's Holiday Tournament. Neil Trimm led the team with points with 45 with 30 assists and 15 goals. Mike Hedden led the team in goals with 30 and he also provided 12 assists to tally 42 points on the season. Senior Capitan Mike Gooch led all the defensemen with points with 32 which 28 were assist and 4 goals. Mike Collicho led the Knights in goal with 659 saves and a .903% goal against average. The Knights will bid farwell to two All-Americans Mike Gooch and Neil Trimm as they graduate from Neumann. Also the Knights will lose goaltender Mike Collichio who has played an integral role all four years as a Neumann Knight. On the season, the Knights celebrate three of their own voted to the Men's ECAC West All Conference team. Neil Trimm was named to the first team as a forward and Mike Hedden (forward) and Mike Gooch (defense) were both named to the Second Team.
