08-09 Team Captain Lincoln-Kaleigh Schrock

Roy Names '08-'09 Leaders

May 29, 2008

Aston, Pa. -- Head Coach Phil Roy of the Neumann College hockey team announced that rising senior forward Lincoln-Kaleigh Schrock (Fort Wayne, IN) will be the captain for the 2008-09 season.

He will be flagged by assistant captains Michael Hedden (St. Catherines, ONT), Ryan Heickert (Oshawa, ONT) and Erik Stoyanvich (London, ONT).

Schrock was an assistant captain for the Knights during the 2007-08 season. As one of Neumann's top forwards Schrock appeared in all 26 games last season leading the Knights to a 17-9-0 record.

While Michael Hedden will be wearing the "A" for the first time, there is no doubt about his leadership. Michael earned the respect of everyone in the program, and he unquestionably has been a leader on this team during each of his three years. He earned Second Team All-American honors in 2007 and led the ECAC West conference in goal scoring with a career-high 30 goals this season.

Seniors Ryan Heickert and Erik Stoyanvich will serve as assistant captains for the first time in their careers after combining for 25 points in 07-08. The duo will prove to be an unstoppable force both on and off the ice in 08-09.

The Knights will open their season on October 24, 2008 in Geneseo, New York as they are set to face off against the SUNY Geneseo Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m.
