ASTON, Pa. - After tallying ten points in a weekend series with Lebanon Valley College, junior forward Michael Hedden (St. Catherines, ONT) has been named the ECAC Hockey West Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. This is the third time in Hedden's career that he has earned the weekly honor.

On Friday, Hedden recorded four points in an 8-2 win over Lebanon Valley, scoring three goals and adding an assist. On Friday night Hedden tied his career high of 6-points after scoring 3 goals and 3 assists in a 14-6 rout of the Dutchmen.

Hedden is enjoying the most productive offensive stretch of his career, having tallied seven goals and five assists during his current four-game point streak. He leads all ECAC Hockey West players in points with 14 (8g, 6a) and his average of 1.08 goals per game is tied for 3rd in the country.

Hedden and the Knights will be back in action on Friday and Saturday (Dec. 7-8) when they welcome the Blue Devils of SUNY Fredonia to Ice Works Arena. The puck will drop at 7:00 p.m. on Friday and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
