Ryan McCauley scores lone goal for the Knights
 
McKenna's Debut Spoiled by McDaniel

The Knights suffered a 25-1 loss to McDaniel College in their season opener in men's lacrosse action this afternoon in Westminster, Maryland. The Green Terror rattled off 25 goals, including 18 in the first half, to earn a 25-1 victory over the Neumann Knights and spoil first year head coach Justin McKenna's debut on Wednesday afternoon.  The Knights drop to 0-1 on the year, while the McDaniel starts the season 1-0.

McDaniel jumped out to an early 9-0 lead in the opening 15-minutes of play, thanks to a pair of goals each from Matt Buschman, Kyle Hedden and Jared Nutter. McDaniel scored nine more in the second quarter, four in the third and three more in the fourth to secure the win. Neumann avoided the shutout with nine minutes left to play when Ryan McCauley scored and even strength goal off an assist from Devin Mossor.  

Neumann is scheduled to return to action on Saturday at St. Mary's College in Maryland at 3:00 p.m.
