Aston, PA - The Neumann College Men's Lacrosse team (0-4) was defeated by the Ohio-Wesleyan Battling Bishops (3-2) in a non-conference matchup on Wedensday afteroon in Aston, PA. Considering that Ohio-Wesleyan competes with some of the top ranked teams in the nation, the Knights knew that it would be a tough matchup. Senior Dan Gregg added a spark for Neumann, scoring 2 goals for the Knights. The Battling Bishops scored early and often, as they jumped out to a 6-0 lead by the end of the first quarter. They would eventually go up 8-0, before Gregg netted his first goal of the game on a good feed from senior Ryan McCauley. However, Ohio-Wesleyan got right back into a groove, scoring six more unanswered goals. After Gregg scored his second goal of the game, Ohio-Wesleyan went for ten more, winning the game 24-2. The Battling Bishops were led by Chris Ehlinger, who scored 5 goals in the game. Neumann will take the field next when they host Wooster College, on Friday afternoon at 4:00 P.M. |
