March 15, 2008 Aston, PA- The Neumann College Men's Lacrosse team fell to Wooster College today 20-2 in a non-conference match. The Knights fell behind early and could not keep up with the constant attack of the Fighting Scoots. Matt Toth had two of the three goals for the Knights while Kevin Kelly had one. Goaltender Jake Boulay made 11 saves on the day for the Knights. Wooster stormed out of the gate scoring six goals in the first quarter and then four more in the second to go into half time up 10-0. Chris Gatsch, Alex Mies, and Conor Hannan each had two goals. Wooster kept up the pressure in the second half scoring another 10 goals in the second half. The Knights thought would get on the board in the fourth quarter scoring three goals. Kevin Kelly got the first goal for the Knights and Matt Toth put two goals in at the end of the game. The Knights look to rebound from their sixth straight loss as they open up PAC Conference play against Centenary College March 19 at 4:00 PM. |
