The Cavaliers Speed by the Knights

March 26, 2008

Box Score

Aston, PA- Sixth ranked Cabrini College traveled to Aston to play the Neumann College men's lacrosse team for a Pennsylvania Athletic Conference match-up.  Despite Neumann's pursuit to keep on the fast track with the Cavaliers, the Knights fell to conference rival Cabrini today by a score of 22-2.

In the first ten minutes of play, the Knights rose to the occasion and kept up with the pace of a deep Cavalier team only trailing them by one goal. Dissatisfied with the lead, the Cavaliers revved their engines and sped away from the Knights, pushing the margin to 13-1 at the half. Casey Grugan put up three goals and one assist for Cabrini while teammate Steve Kapp added two of his own.

Cabrini was relentless on the offensive end for the remainder of the game scoring another nine. Dan Drudi put away three in the second half and two came from Paul Skuluski, his third of the game.

Justin Mailloux (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial) had the two goals for the Knights. Teammates Kyle Gardner (Collegeville, Pa) and Jason Kahn (Wilmington, DE/Concord) tallied the assists. Goaltender Jake Boulay (Cape St. Claire, MD/Broadneck) put in another solid performance for the Knights making 22 saves on the day.

The Knights look to rebound from the loss as they prepare for PAC opponent Alvernia College on April 2nd at 4:00PM.
