Aston, Pa. - The Neumann College Men's Lacrosse team captured their first victory on Wednesday afternoon at The Knights jumped out to an early 2-0 lead at the end of the 1st quarter, on goals by Gregg and freshman Matt Toth. McCauley and senior Devin Mossor added assists. Immaculata answered with 2 goals of their own in the 2nd quarter, to tie the game at 2 and close out a low scoring 1st half. Neumann came out firing in the 3rd quarter, when senior Jack Winn netted the first goal of the half. Junior Jason Kahn scored a goal and an assist, McCauley registered 2 goals, and freshman Matt Toth added 2 assists to finish off a dominant 3rd quarter and give the Knights a 6-2 lead. Immaculata showed no signs of giving up and answered with 2 goals of their own to start the 4th quarter. The Knights realized that they had to continue to put pressure on Immaculata, rather than playing to protect the lead, if they were going to win the game. Thanks to clutch defensive stands by the Knights defensive corps, led by senior John Curry, Neumann was able to get the ball back into their possession. Junior Greg Germon registered a goal and Dan Gregg scored his second goal of the game to regain their 4 goal lead. Each team scored 1 more goal, as McCauley scored his 3rd goal of the game, and Neumann came away with their first victory of the season by a score of 9-5.
