Boulay saves one for the Knights

Knights Unable to Keep Pace with the Wolverines

March 12, 2008

Aston, PA-The Neumann College Men's Lacrosse team hosted Wesley College in their home opener today on Bruder Fields. Neumann got off to a quick start when Matt Toth (Coatsville, PA/Coatsville) and Kyle Sheckler (Glenolden, PA/Interboro) got the first two goals of the game two minutes in. Wesley fired back at the six minute mark with a goal of their own.

The second period was a different story. The Wolverines went on a scoring parade tallying six goals and the Knights were unable to recuperate from the offensive onslaught. In the third period, Wesley was able to keep up with their own pace from the second while they added another three to their total. Neumann's Kyle Gardner (Collegeville, PA) was able to gather the strength to push one more past Wesley but the team could not overcome the deficit that was racked up in the first half of the game. In net, Jake Boulay (Cape St. Claire, MD/Broadneck) tallied 25 saves.

The Knights head back to the fields again Saturday, March 15th when they will host College of Wooster at 1:00pm.

Go Knights!
