Kevin Sloan took over the reins of the Neumann College men's soccer team in the spring of 2006. Coach Sloan is a graduate of Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina. This Columbia, Maryland native brings years of experience and a strong knowledge of the game of soccer to the Neumann College community.

Sloan's past experience includes various leadership positions at many different educational institutes. Sloan has served as an assistant coach for the Philadelphia Kixx since 2004, concentrating on strategy analysis, player development, technical and tactical training sessions, and scouting. He has been with the Kixx since 1996 as a professional indoor soccer player and served as the team's captain. He also assisted in coaching the men's soccer team at Philadelphia University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since 2002, Sloan has run his own soccer program called the Kevin Sloan Soccer Academy Inc. where he focuses on the development of kids ages 5-18.

Locally, Sloan has worked at Tri-State Sports in Aston, Pennsylvania as the Soccer Director where he ran a league of 200 teams. Accompanying his work experience is his long list of personal achievements as a soccer player himself. As a child, Sloan was recognized as a Maryland Youth State team player. He was an All State high school player in Columbia, Maryland, a three time college All American, captain for the Philadelphia Kixx for three years including the championship season (2001-2002), won a National Championship with the Maryland Bays in 1990, was the 12th player to reach 1000 points in indoor soccer history, was an all-star in every professional league that he participated in for both indoor and outdoor soccer, was a member of the U.S. Futsal National Team, and received a U.S.S.F. "B" Coaching License.

Being a part of so many different teams has given Sloan a diverse background and has enriched him with qualities needed to be a successful soccer coach. The list of teams he played with include the Maryland Bays of Columbia, Maryland, the Baltimore Blast of Baltimore, Maryland, the Tampa Bay Rowdies of Tampa, Florida, the Dayton Dynamo of Dayton, Ohio, the Baltimore Spirit of Baltimore, Maryland, the Delaware Wizards of Newark, Delaware, the Staten Island Vipers, and most recently the Philadelphia Kixx. Sloan, his wife Tracey and daughters Charlotte and Amelia currently reside in Havertown, Pa.
