FROSTBURG, Md. - The Neumann College (0-1) men's soccer team opened up the 2006 season at the Frostburg State Tournament facing the tournament host in game one of the weekend event. In a contest that ended in a 2-0 loss for the Knights, Neumann battled not only the Bobcats but also had to contend with the inclement weather brought on by hurricane Ernesto. Junior Luke Devlin ( Frostburg went up 1-0 in the 26th minute of the first half. The Bobcats were than denied a second 1st-half goal in the 42nd minute of the game when the Knights broke up a Frostburg breakaway opportunity to gain possession. Unfortunately the Knights were unable to capitalize. Early in the second half Devlin stepped up once again by deflecting another tough shot on goal. However, with the ever strengthening winds and rain, Neumann was unable to keep Frostburg from scoring their second goal in the 89th minute of play.
