Neumann Clipped by Dickinson

Sept. 22, 2005

Box Score

Aston, PA-  Dickinson College got a first half goal from Gregg Freeburn and goalkeepers Rodrigo Barboza and Lou Petriello made it stand up, stopping one shot each, as the Red Devils defeated Neumann College, 2-0, on the Bruder Field this afternoon.

Dickinson broke out on top at the 21:05 mark of the first half when Greg Freeburn collected a loose ball at the eight-yard line on the left side and scored. Freeburn managed a repeat goal at the 27:59 mark to but the Red Devils up 2-0 going into the break.  Neumann controlled the ball for much of the second half but the Knights could not find the back of the net.

Barboza made one save in the first half and Petriello, who entered into the game at the 73rd minute, also had one in the second for the win. Starting goalkeeper Josh Williams made five saves for the Knights.

Neumann will return to action on Saturday, September 24, when they host Cabrini College in a Homecoming match up at 3:00 p.m.
