Harvey shuts out the Cavaliers

Knights Earn Second Shutout of the Season

Sept. 24, 2005

Box Score

Aston, PA - The Neumann College men's soccer team picked up its second shutout victory on Saturday afternoon, cruising to a 2-0 win over Cabrini College on Homecoming Weekend. Sophomore Barry Harvey (Aston, PA/Chichester) led the Knights scoring the game-winning goals and earning the Knights their second conference win over PAC rival Cabrini College.

After a scoreless first half, Neumann wasted little time in taking a 1-0 lead. Barry Harvey took a rocket shot off a rebounded from 25 yards out, scoring all Neumann would need in the 2-0 victory. Less than six minutes later, the Knights put the game away as Harvey headed in the ball past Cabrini's Goalkeeper Andrew Brady off a Mike Barbagallo (Bridgeport, NJ/Kingsway Regional) throw-in at 52:35 pushing the Knights to a 2-0 lead.

Junior Josh Williams (Lansdowne, PA/Cardinal O'Hara) had another strong performance in net for Neumann with seven saves, earning his first shutout of the season.

The Knights return to action on Tuesday, September 27, when they face PAC rival College of Misericordia at 7:00 p.m. in Dallas, PA.
