Knight's Announce 2007 Soccer Schedule

June 15, 2007

ASTON, Pa. - The Neumann College athletic department announced that it has finalized its men's soccer schedule for the 2007 season.

The Knights will play 7 regular season games at Knights Field, including matches against Pennsylvania Athletic Conference foes Immaculata (Sept. 20), Gwynedd Mercy (Sept. 22), Marywood (Sept. 29) and Misericordia (Oct. 20).

Neumann will play three contests against teams which qualified for the NCAA Tournament last season and one against teams which were ranked in the final NSCAA/Adidas National Poll.

The team will open the regular season at home on September 1 when they will host the University of District Of Columbia at 4:00 p.m.

The following weekend, the Knights will travel to Westminster, Maryland to compete against McDaniel College before returning home to play host to King's College on September 8.

Neumann will face three non-conference rivals on the road before returning to Knights field to open conference play against Immaculata on September 20. They will take on PAC rivals Gwynedd Mercy, Cabrini, and Marywood mid-season before breaking from conference play to take on No. 13 ranked Montclair State in Montclair N.J. on Oct. 3, and Widener University on Oct. 8.

The Knights will close out the regular season with a three game road trip followed by a two game home stand that includes Misericorida on Senior Day (Oct. 20) and former PAC rival Wesley College. Neumann will face Eastern University in St. David's, Pennsylvania before heading into PAC Championships.

This year's PAC Tournament is scheduled for Oct 30-Nov. 3, while the first round of the NCAA Tournament is scheduled for the weekend of Nov. 7 at sites to be determined.
