Aston, Pa. - Neumann College men's soccer forward Jesse Urquhart was named the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Player of the Week as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon. In his first season as a Knight, Urquhart has led Neumann to its first 3-0 start in school history. Urquhart set up the game winning goal in the Knights' season opening game against University of District Columbia at home on September 1. He scored both goals in a 2-0 win against McDaniel College on September 5, handing the Green Terror their first and only loss this season. In his final appearance of the week he led the Knights to a dramatic comeback against King's College recording 2-assists in the team's 3-2 win on Saturday, September 8. Urquhart, a native of Erial, New Jersey, is the first Neumann player to earn PAC Player of the Week honors this season. Jesse Urquhart and the Knights will embark on a three-game road trip that begins this afternoon. The Knights will face Division II opponent Chestnut Hill at 4:00 p.m. today, Philadelphia Biblical University on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. and former PAC opponent Arcadia University on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. |
