CAPE COD, Mass. - Neumann College junior forward Jesse Urquhart was named ECAC Division III-Southern Men's Soccer Player of the Week Wednesday after helping the Knights remain unbeaten in three games last week. Urquhart set up the game winning goal in the Knights' season opening match-up against University of District Columbia at home on September 1. He scored both goals in a 2-0 win against McDaniel College on September 5, handing the Green Terror their first and only loss this season. In his final appearance of the week he led the Knights to a dramatic comeback against King's College recording 2-assists in the team's 3-2 win on Saturday, September 8. The junior forward is a transfer from Camden County Community College and the first Neumann College player honored by the organization this season. Neumann is off to its best start in program history (3-1-1) and will take on Arcadia University (0-4-1) on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in Glenside, Pa. 1:00 p.m. For full release from the ECAC click GO KNIGHTS! |
