Neumann Falls to Bears, 1-0

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Freshman Brad Atkinson (Redding, CT/Joel Barlow) netted the game-winning goal in the 43rd minute to lead Ursinus past Neumann 1-0 in non-conference men's soccer action on Tuesday.

Brian Berkowitz (Philadelphia, PA/North Catholic) recorded his first shutout of the season, making two saves. Josh Williams made eight saves, while Barry Harvey fired off two shots for the Knights (2-9-1).

Just before the end of the first half, Atkinson gathered the ball amongst a scramble in front of the net and tapped it in for the only goal Ursinus needed on the afternoon.

Neumann returns to action Thursday at home against Catholic University. Game time is 4 p.m.
