ASTON, Pa. -The Knights opened the 2007 season on a high note with a 5-2 win over the Arcadia University in men's tennis action this afternoon.

The Knights won two of three doubles matches to go up 1-0 early in the match. Matthew Ford and Barry Harvey outlasted Kevin Langner and Chris Belden 8-3 at No.2 and Andrew Bitar and Steve Klenk were hardly challenged as they rode to an 8-2 victory at third doubles.

Neumann then put the lock on the win by taking four of the six singles matches in straight sets. Ford, Harvey and Klenk won at both singles and doubles while freshman newcomer Dan Harnos shut down Arcadia's Danny Ly 6-0, 6-0, at No. 2 singles.

Ford rode to a 6-2, 6-2 straight set decision at No. 3 singles, while Harvey won at No. 5 6-1, 6-0 and Klenk posted a win at No. 6.

The Knights are idle until March 22 when they head to Center Valley, Pennsylvania to take on DeSales University.
