After traffic prevented the Knights from entering the Scarlet Knights' court on time, Neumann was forced to start every singles match down 0-1 in games due to a penalization rule enforced by the As the double teams took to the court, with barely enough time to warm up, Down one after doubles competition and down one at the start of every in singles game, due to the penalty, the Knights knew what had to be done. Neumann went on to win four out of six singles matches, stealing the win from the 2005 PAC Tournament runner up in dramatic fashion. Barry Harvey gave Neumann the point they needed posting a 7-5, 1-6, 7-6(3) third set tie breaking victory to clinch the Knights first win of the season. This afternoon's 4-3 win over the hosts gave the Knights their first win of the season and marks their first PAC win as a team in over two years. |
