Gwynedd Valley, Pa. - The Neumann Knights recorded their third straight victory of the season after earning a 6-1 win over Gwynedd Mercy College in men's tennis action this afternoon. The win marks the Knights' second straight PAC win of the season and keeps the Knights undefeated in 2007.

 

Neumann won 2 of 3 doubles matches and went on to win 5 of 6 singles matches en route to the 6-1 win.

 

The duo of Matthew Ford and Barry Harvey clinched the doubles point for the Knights after defeating Erik Potemski and Eric Miller 8-6. Andrew Bitar and Steve Klenk earned the knights' first point of the day with an 8-1 win over Eric Trinkle and Tim McMenamin.

 

In singles action Neumann's Dan Harnos defeated Chris Balicki 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 in a nail biter at No. 2. Neumann's Matthew Ford, Andrew Bitar, Barry Harvey and Steve Klenk each won it straight sets.

 

The Knights will return to action on Sunday at home. They will host Lebanon Valley College at 12:00 p.m.
