Harvey wins second straight at No. 5 singles
 
Harvey Leads Neumann to its 5th win of the Season

Aston, Pa. - The men's tennis team played host to non conference rival Ursinus College this afternoon in their fourth of five games this week. Barry Harvey clinched the match for the Knights winning the team's 5th point of the afternoon at No. 5 singles 6-4, 6-2.

 

Neumann held strong but Ursinus battled point for point with the Knights. The Knights' Barry Harvey and Matthew Ford earned the team's first point at No. 2 doubles, 8-4. Ursinus took No. 3 doubles with a close 8-6 win over Andrew Bitar and Steve Klenk however, Neumann's John Slinka and Dan Harnos gave the Knight's the lead going into singles play with a 9-7 win at No. 1.

 

Neumann continued to power through tough competition and falling temperatures defeating the Bears at No. 3 and No. 4 and No. 5 singles. Matthew Ford earned a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 3 and Andrew Bitar had no trouble at No. 4 sweeping the match in straight sets 6-0, 6-0.

 

Neumann will return to action on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. The Knights will be hosted Immaculata University in their first of a five game conference series that will run through April 12, 2007.
