Knights Sweep GMC in PAC Tennis

Final Stats

ASTON, PA - The Neumann Knights men's tennis team hosted the Griffins of Gwynedd-Mercy College on Thursday, March 30. In their 3rd PAC match of the season the Knights defeated the Griffins 7-0. 

 

For the first time in two years, Neumann beat Gwynedd-Mercy College making them 3-0 in the PAC and 3-2 overall.  Neumann's win started out in singles with Andrew Finger's three set win over Jeremiah Thomas. John Slinka continued the trend winning #2 singles vs. GMC's Chris Balicki in a tie breaker going 0-6, 6-1, and 7-6(5).  Matt Ford, Bob Klenk, and Andrew Bitar each won singles in two sets, and Barry Harvey went 8-1 in his singles match against Mark Randall from Gwynedd at #6.

 

In doubles action, Slinka and Harvey won 8-5, Finger and Ford won 8-1, and Bob Klenk and Steve Klenk paired up for an 8-2 win in doubles.  It was an exciting match and a big win for Neumann. 

 

The Knights prepare for their next PAC match against the undefeated Cabrini College on Saturday, April 1st at 1:00pm in Radnor, PA.
