Aston, Pa. - The Neumann Knights men's tennis team defeated Philadelphia Biblical University by a score of 9-0 on their home courts Wednesday afternoon.

In preparation for the PAC Conference's men's tennis tournament, set to start this weekend at the West End Racquet Club in Reading, Pennsylvania, the Knights played this matchup a little differently then in games past. Neumann's Dan Harnos moved to the No. 1 position recording a 6-1, 6-3 decision over PBU's Brandon Petcaugh.

Harnos teamed up with senior Kevin Conroy, who also recorded a straight set singles victory (7-5, 6-3) at No. 5, to defeat Jason Coache and Otis Caston at No. 2 doubles.

Freshman Matthew Ford moved into the No. 2 singles spot. He defeated Bryon Eversole 6-1, 7-5.

2006 PAC No.6 Singles Champion Barry Harvey moved to No. 3 and defeated Jason Coache 6-0, 6-3 to clinch the match for his team.

Steve Klenk earned the win at No. 4, (6-0, 6-2) and teamed up with Andrew Bitar at No. 1 doubles for an 8-1 win over Petcaugh and Eversole.

Radek Foukal, in his first appearance with the Knights, earned a 6-2, 6-0 decision at No. 6 and teamed up with John Slinka for an 8-0 shutout at No. 3 doubles.

The Knights will now await the seeding and wild card draw for this weekend's conference tournament championship due out late Thursday.
