Steve Klenk Named PAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week

April 10, 2007

Aston, Pa. - Neumann College sophomore Steve Klenk was named Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week for his strong play during the week of April 1-8, Assistant Commissioner Cindy Crowl announced Tuesday.

Klenk garnered his first career Player of the Week accolade after earning wins at both singles and doubles play last week. He and his partner assisted the Knights in earning the doubles point over Eastern University by winning at third doubles, 8-2.  He also clinched Neumann's 4-3 team win over PAC rival Eastern University after winning 6-2, 6-1 at sixth singles.

Klenk improved to 6-1 overall and 5-0 in the PAC after last week's wins. He is currently riding a two-match win streak and has helped the Knights defeat four of five PAC opponents faced so far this season.

The Knights return to action this afternoon against Cabrini College at 3:30 p.m.
