Brown and Bridgeman named to All-Conference first team
 
Pennsylvania Athletic Conference Announces All-Conference Team for Men's Tennis

Aston, PA- After capping off the record season with a PAC Championship and an invitation to the NCAA tournament, four Neumann Knights have been honored with All-PAC accolades for men's tennis singles and two teams for doubles competitions.

 

Seniors John Slinka (Sicklerville, NJ/Paul IV) and Barry Harvey (Aston, PA/Chichester) and sophomore Dan Harnos (Lanoka Harbor, NJ/Lacy Township) were all named to the First All Pennsylvania Athletic Conference team for singles. Christopher Brown (Eldersbyrg, MD/Liberty) and Greg Bridgeman (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddon Township) were also named to the first All PAC team for doubles.

 

Senior Andrew Bitar (Dedham, MA/Dedham) was named to the second team All-PAC for singles and the team of Harnos and Harvey was named to the second team for doubles.

 

Of the 12 spots on the All Conference team, Neumann walked away with four of the honors for singles. For doubles, the Knights earned two of the six spots.

 

Andrew Bitar was also nominated by his team and coach as a PAC Sportsmanship Award.

 

The Knights will travel to Fredericksburg, Virginia as a five seed to match up against four seed Mary-Washington College on Thursday night for the first round of the NCAA tournament.

 

Congratulations to head coach, Christian Gosseaux and the 2008 Men's Tennis team for all of their accomplishments so far this season.
