Aston, PA - The 2005 Neumann College men's tennis team was honored at its annual postseason banquet, held Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at the Neumann College Living and Learning Center. Three Knights collected individual awards. Freshman John Tscherne was selected as the team's Most Valuable Player, Kevin Conroy collected the Team's St. Francis and Clare Award and Robert Klenk was presented with the Order of the Racquet Award. Tscherne became the first Knight to win a PAC Championship. He did so at #5 singles. He is also the first freshman to be named to the All-PAC Conference team. He finished his first season with an overall singles record of 4-2 and a doubles mark of 3-3. Kevin Conroy finished his season at 2-2 and was named to the 2005 All-PAC Sportsmanship Team while Bob Klenk was honored with the Order of the Racquet Award for his leadership and morale building attitude. The Knights finished their fifth season under the direction off coaches Bob Spickler and Mike Keller and will look to continue their success in 2006. |
