Coach Farnese took over the reins of the Neumann Knights women's basketball program prior to the start of the 2005-2006 season.

A native of Drexel Hill, PA, Coach Farnese attended Monsignor Bonner High School. He is a 1995 graduate of Neumann College with a degree in education. As dual sport athlete, Farnese was a four-year letterman in basketball and baseball for the Neumann Knights. He is a member of the Neumann Knights' 1,000 point club earning his 1,000th point on February 18, 1995, when he scored a total of 23 points against Allentown College in Aston, PA. Coach Farnese ended his collegiate career with 1,026 points making him the 8th all time leading scorer in Neumann College's men's basketball history. As a two time team captain, Frank Farnese was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Philadelphia Pharmacy Tournament on December 28, 1994 and earned PAC All-Conference honors his senior year.

After graduation Farnese assisted Knights Head Coach George Walace with the Knights men's basketball team and then went on to assist Coach Bill Wiley at Penn State University-Delaware County Campus. In 2001 Farnese took over the reins of the PSU-DC Lions program after Wiley stepped down, leading the Lions to a playoff birth in his first season as head coach. He led PSU-DCC to 30 wins in his 3 seasons at the head of the program. He returned to his Alma Mater in the fall of 2004 joining Coach Nugent, Coach Wiley and the Neumann Knights men's basketball team as an assistant coach. After one season with the Knights' men's team Coach Farnese took over the helm of the women's program.

Currently Coach Farnese is a sales executive for Weiss Brothers Paper Company.
