Knights Announce 2007-2008 Schedule

June 18, 2007

ASTON, Pa. -Neumann College has announced its 2007-2008 women's basketball schedule. The Knights will play 25 games, 16 in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference, which adds Centenary and Notre Dame to its docket this season.

A New Year's tournament at King's College and non-conference games against five in-state opponents are included on the 2007-08 Neumann College women's basketball schedule.

The Knights will open the season Nov. 20 at home against Susquehanna, travel to Widener on Nov. 24, Wilkes University on Nov. 26 and will play host to PAC rival Cabrini College on Nov. 19 in their conference opener.

Neumann will face Rosemont College on the road on Dec. 1 and DeSales on Dec. 3 before returning home to the Bruder Gymnasium for two non-conference games against Richard Stockton and Juniata prior to the holiday break. Neumann will close out 2007 on the road at Catholic University in Washington, D.C. on Dec. 29.

The Knights open the New Year on Jan. 4 at the King's College Tournament in Wilkes Barre, Pa. and remain on the road through January 12 when they begin a 14-game PAC schedule against Marywood University in Scranton, Pa.

The team will return home for a three game series against Rosemont, Immaculata, and Misericordia before facing Eastern and Immaculata on the road. On Jan. 26 Neumann will host 2006 PAC champion Gwynedd Mercy College and first-year PAC opponent Notre Dame (Jan. 31).

The Knights will wind down the season flip-flopping home count advantage with their opponents before finishing out the regular season with a two game series on the road at Centenary College and Notre Dame.

This year's PAC Tournament is scheduled for Feb 25-Mar. 1, while the first round of the NCAA Tournament is scheduled for the weekend of Mar. 5 at sites to be determined.

The Knights return four starters from last year's 18-10 PAC semifinalist team, including PAC Rookie of the Year Brittany Whetts and PAC Sportsmanship honoree Caitlin Agnew.
