Field Hockey Drops 5-0 Decision to SUNY Oneonta

ASTON, Pa. - The Neumann field hockey team dropped a 5-0 decision to SUNY Oneonta in the second and final game of St. Lawrence Field Hockey Fest at St. Lawrence University's North Country Field.

The Knights drop to 0-2 on the season, while the Red Dragons improve to 1-1 on the season.

The Oneonta defense rendered Neumann without a shot in the first half and led by two at halftime.

The second half saw a more aggressive Red Dragon offense as they produced 11 corner opportunities to just two for the Knights. Oneonta would go on to score three more goals for the 5-0 shutout.

Neumann goalkeeper Chelsea Ward (Willingboro, NJ/Rancocas Valley) recorded nine saves on the day as her record drops to 0-2.

The Knights return to action on Wednesday, September 5, when they host Philadelphia Biblical University on Bruder Field. The game is slated for 4:00 p.m.
