Neumann Falls to Philadelphia Biblical 1-0

Langhorne, Pa. - The Neumann College field hockey dropped a 1-0 decision to Philadelphia Biblical University Thursday at the Crimson Eagles' field on the PBU campus. With the loss, the Knights fall to 1-2 while Philadelphia Biblical improves to 1-2.

 

The Crimson Eagles' Mandy Stickler tallied the game-winner in the ninth minute of the second half. She was set up by Stacey Messick who was granted a penalty corner which led to the lone goal.

 

Neumann held the slight edge in shots, 14-6, while the PBU had nine penalty corner opportunities to the Knights' three.  

 

In only her third start of the season, junior Chelsea Ward (Willingboro, NJ) registered three saves for Neumann, while Katie Aungst stopped six for the Crimson Eagles.  

 

The Knights are back in action on Tuesday, September 12 when they will host Juniata College in their 2006 home opener at 5:00 p.m.
