Box Score

In the Knights' season home opener, Neumann (1-3) fell to the Eagles of Juniata College 2-1 in a non-conference duel on the Neumann College field this afternoon.

 

The first half resulted in a close battle with a score of 1-1 heading into the second stanza. Neumann's Michelle Coderre opened up the scoring for the Knights at 31:40, with help from teammate Rachel Mease with the assist.  Juniata's Sierra Dickman answered back at a time of 32:31 to tie the game at one a piece.

 

The Knights aggressively headed into the second half of the game but Juniata's Kim Wagner took the lead for the Eagles at 42:58 with help from teammate Erin Smith.

 

Neumann's goal keeper Chelsea Ward kept the game close for the Knights with 11 saves overall.

 

The Knights will return to home field action on Saturday, September 16, against Marywood University.
