Widener started shooting early on, out shooting the Bears 15 to one in the first half. Widener's Erica Rose scored the first goal eight minutes into the game. The Pioneers' Colleen Guille connected for their second score, followed by Jaime Carr's first of two goals in the afternoon match up, making it a 3-0 game going into half time. In the first minute and a half of the second stanza Widener's Missy Pappas scored giving the hosts a 4-0 lead. Twelve minute later, Carr scored again to go up 5-0.
