Immaculata, Pa. - Six saves by Knights' starting goalie Chelsea Ward helped keep the Immaculata University field hockey team (1-6, 1-3 PAC) off the scoreboard in a 1-0 Neumann (4-3, 2-0 PAC) victory at Draper Walsh Stadium Saturday afternoon. The Mighty Macs could not find the back of the cage, as 2 of their 8 shots were off target and the other six were denied by Ward without difficulty. Neumann's goal came in the 20th minute, an unassisted strike by junior forward Rachael DiCicco (South Dennis, NJ /Middle Township). The Knights outshot the Mighty Macs 24-8 in the game and held the advantage in penalty corners. The Knights will return to action on Monday, September 24, at 4:00 p.m. when they host Cedar Crest College on Bruder Field. |
