Aston, Pa.- After scoring only one goal in their last conference win over Immaculata University on Saturday, the Neumann Knights field hockey team rekindled whatever offense they lost, and defeated Cedar Crest, 6-0, at home Monday afternoon.

Neumann sophomore Lauren Hood (Norristown, Pa. /Kennedy-Kenrick) sparked the offense with two early goals both coming on passes from Junior Kerri Sinclair (Chadds Ford, Pa. /Unionville).  Sinclair then added a goal of her own, with 17:30 remaining in the first half.  Chelsea Ward (Willingboro, NJ/Rancocas Valley) started the game in goal for Neumann but was replaced by Freshman Nicole Deludos (Baltimore, Md. /Catholic) at the start of the second half.

The Knights showed no mercy after half time as Andrea White (Wilmigton, De. /St. Elizabeth) made it a 4-0 contest on a pass from junior forward Rachael DiCicco (South Dennis, NJ/Middle Township). Sinclair tacked on her second assist when she found Amanda Biagi (Bellmawr, NJ/Paul VI) in front of the net for the fifth Neumann goal.  Kaitlin Murphy (Elkton, Md. /Rising Sun) put the icing on the cake with 5:49 left in the second half to end the scoring for Neumann. Deludos stopped the only shot she faced as she and Ward combined for the shutout.

The Knights improve to 3-0 in conference play and will travel to Baltimore, Md. as they take on the College of Notre Dame at 4:00 p.m. on September 26th.
