Aston, Pa. - Melissa Benedetti's goal in the 41st minute gave the Cabrini College field hockey team a 1-0 victory against the Neumann Knights today at Bruder Field. The Cavaliers are now 7-10 overall and 5-4 in the PAC while the Knights drop to 7-11 overall and fall even with the Cavilers in the PAC at 5-4.

Following a scoreless first half, Benedetti finally broke the scoreless tie when she struck the back of the cage at the 41:23 mark.

Neumann College senior Chelsea Ward made 16-saves in the loss while Cabrini's Caitlin Donahue had 9 stops in net.

The Knights were out-shot 21-12 on the day, with Cabrini also taking the penalty corner battle, 10-7.

With playoffs on the line Neumann will return to action on Saturday, October 20, 2007 in its final PAC battle of the season against Gwynedd Mercy College in Gwynedd Valley, Pa.  The game is slated for 1:00 p.m.
