Biagi was aggressive all afternoon, taking 3 shots, two of which were converted for Knight goals
 
Neumann Field Hockey Blows Past Immaculata, 4-0

Aston, PA - Neumann College's Amanda Biagi took advantage of two crisp passes from Michelle Coderre Tuesday afternoon as the Knights improved to 4-4 in the conference with a 4-0 decision over Immaculata University.

Neumann out shot the Mighty Macs 12-7 and held a 19-4 advantage in penalty corners. Biagi was aggressive all afternoon, taking 3 shots, two of which were converted for Knight goals. Junior Michelle Coderre added a goal to her two assist on the afternoon.

 

Chelsea Ward was the winning goalie for Neumann this afternoon. She picked up six saves and recorded her first shut out of the season in goal. Bridget Dougherty was the losing goalie for Immaculata, despite working hard, recording 7 saves.

 

Coderre, who is now second in goals on theseason for the Knights with 9, put NC on top 1-0 at the 17:29 mark of the game when she took a penalty corner pass from Rachel Mease in front of the goal and slapped the ball in the box. Neumann received an insurance goal by Biagi as she scored her first of two goalsoff a Coderre penalty corner at the 33:28 mark to end the half up 2-0.

 

Neumann's Samantha Lafferty continued the trend finding the net at 42:57 with some help from Biagi. Biagi closed out the day with a last shot at 64:07 giving the Knights a 4-0 conference win.

 

The Knights will return to action Thursday when they host Wesley at 4:00 p.m.
