PAC Player of the Week, Michelle Coderre

Field Hockey's Michelle Coderre Named PAC Player Of The Week

Oct. 10, 2006

Aston, Pa. - Neumann College senior forward Michelle Coderre (Freehold, NJ) was named PENNSYLVANIA ATHLETIC Conference Player of the Week for field hockey on Monday, October 8. It marks the first time this season that Coderre has earned the honor.

Coderre helped guide the Knights field hockey team to a 2-1 record last week, including critical wins over PAC rivals Cabrini College and Immaculata University last week. She anchored a Knight attack that scored 12 goals in the three contests. Coderre scored two goals and added three assists for the Knights including the sole goal against King's College. Coderre is also among the top-ten players in the PAC in defensive saves with 14.

Coderre has earned 16 points so far this season, just 4 points shy of last years final mark of 20. She has scored six goals and four assists for the Knights so far this season. She currently ranks 7th all-time in career goals (18) and 5th in career assist (12).

Neumann (7-7, 5-2 PAC) returns to action on Wednesday, October 11 against Wesley College in a key conference match up. The game will be played in Dover Delaware. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
